Coillte is the Irish state forestry company which has a vast landbank across Ireland, much of it in remote and mountainous areas. This enabled it to build up a portfolio of wireless communication towers as mobile phone companies built out their networks. Goodbody, based on its successful track record in the sector, was appointed to sell the assets (€70m) as Coillte wished to release capital for other growth prospects. This was infrastructure investor InfraVia's first acquisition in Ireland and it has more recently added a nursing home business.
