FBD is a leading publicly quoted Irish insurer which developed from a co-operative insurance offering for the farming community. As it increasingly focuses on its core commercial insurance business, Goodbody has advised on a number of disposals. In this case the disposals involved some property and tourism assets (€49m) which had been developed over the years but were no longer strategically relevant.
